Looking for a tumbling place

I took my 1 yr old son to My Gym in Campbell and sat in on a session.  He really liked the slanted mats, the swings, and all the other things he could crawl in, around and through.  He loves making a triangle out of his body (like a baby headstand) and having someone help him do a somersault.  He was not a fan of sitting around the circle and having his arms and legs manipulated to "Wheels on the Bus" or "If You're Happy and You Know It."

Does anyone have recommendations of good tumbling places?  We live in the Cupertino area and I'd venture south to San Jose or as far north as Palo Alto.

Update - took my son to the Gymboree location in Los Altos and he absolutely loved it!  In fact, when we walked in the door, the moment he saw all the colorful mats, balls, toys, etc, he wanted to launch out of my arms Superman-style and go play.  He loved the equipment, the stuff there is to crawl up, over and through, and the playtime they do with bubbles.

I signed him up for a weekly session which also includes some open gym time different days of the week.

The place is carpeted all around so it's not rough on your knees to crawl after your tyke; the music is cute; the instructor is totally comfortable to keep going even if the kids don't feel like sitting in the circle; they didn't kick us out when the session was over.

Added bonuses for the Los Altos location - no fee for parking (nor did there seem to be a time limit); very close to 280; Starbucks, gelato and some lunch places right next to Gymboree.

Haven't tried this myself, but I've had several friends try Gymboree.  There's one in Los Altos (off Foothill).  Evidently, they have different levels of activity for different ages.  I was thinking of trying it also of we can get the schedules to work...

The only downside I've heard is that they tend to spread their illnesses over the winter.  But that's with any place you go with lots of kids, so I guess you just take the good with the bad.

If you decide to check it out, would love to know what you think.

Hi Evelyn - how old's your child?  Maybe we can find a time that works for both of us.  :-)

He is almost 14 months old.  Very close to yours!  How about coordinating off-guild?

We've used The Little Gym in Mountain View and are very happy with it. But our kids started a bit older (youngest was 3 years old). The teachers are great with the kids, the kids have a lot of fun while learning.

And no one manipulated their arms and legs!
