What age do kids start to enjoy Disney World (in Florida)?
A friend is taking hers to the Magic Kingdom in a month or so. I am contemplating possibly going as well (yeah, crazy). Our kid would be 20 months then. She has not been really exposed to any Disney characters. Would there be any point in dragging a 20 month old there, or would it be a fabulous idea? Any thoughts?

I know people who've done it and enjoyed it, but it seems a little young to me. We took our daughter at 3 and she LOVED it, so it may just depend where you go. Magic Kingdom had the most rides, but that's probably for slightly older kids. Also, the characters can be terrifying for many kids (like mine). On the other hand, some sections of Animal Kingdom were really little-kid friendly, with music performances, parades, etc. My daughter spent the whole day in Africa and didn't want to leave.

We ended up not going. It seemed that while puddles and mulch are the highlights of entertainment, there's not much point in flying across the continent and standing in line for a place that probably has neither puddles nor mulch. :) Co-workers recommended waiting until kid is 4 or even a good bit older for such trips, to avoid them becoming overwhelmed.
