Tools of the mind preschool in Silicon Valley
I am very interested in the "Tools of the Mind" preschool program. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/27/magazine/27tools-t.html
Our daughter is still a few years away from preschool but I started looking around to see if any such programs exist near or around Mountain View Ca, but haven't found anything yet.
Does anyone know of such a preschool or similar ? Are their other / better programs that people are familiar with?

Almost the same question was asked of the NurtureShock authors about Massachussets. The authors pointed here: http://www.mscd.edu/extendedcampus/toolsofthemind/about/programsites.shtml
In short, the page says (at the time of this posting):
"Currently the Tools of the Mind program is being implemented in Colorado, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington."
So, unfortunately no - not currently in Silicon Valley. They invite you to request a program on their site: "If you are interested in implementing the curriculum in your school or program please contact us." Seems like a great thing to advocate for.
