Waldorf based Preschool

Does anyone know of any Waldorf based preschools near Mountain View? The Waldorf School of the Peninsula does not take children until they are 3, so I was curious what options were out there for younger children. Thanks!

A friend of mine has been researching Waldorf schools but she lives in So. Cal - I didn't find an existing Waldorf school in Mountain View based on this online resource, but that's not to say one isn't in the works. My child has yet to leave the womb, so this is getting a little ahead of myself but I find the Waldorf concept of education very intriguing.

I know that Waldorf school theory has children starting many organized learning concepts pretty late compaired to almost all other schools. For example, your child won't begin learning to read till they are nine. Where as more common american schools will have your child begin as early as kindergarten, or five. Consequently I don't think you will find a Waldorf guided school that will start earlier than three.

    Good Luck!
