WSJ Article: Chinese mother's perspective
This article provides the perspective of a Chinese parent that is similar (though not as extreme) to what many kids experience with immigrant Asian parents. I was horrified by this article... But I couldn't help wondering if that was a reaction to how I was raised? (Though my upbringing was nowhere near as severe as some of the snippets in this article.)
What are your thoughts?

Interesting thoughts from a parent-economist-blogger who read the article AND the book:

When I read this article, I thought surely it was a satirical piece. Could she be serious? I am appalled. I was raised in this fashion, and I can tell you from first hand experience that being called garbage does not inspire confidence or motivation.
