Tips on removing iron deposits from baby teeth?

A couple of months ago we freaked out when we noticed a horrible-looking black/gray spot on our 18-month-old's front tooth. After taking her to the dentist, we were informed that they were just harmless iron deposits and apparently fairly common. The dentist removed the spots easily with scraper.

That was just one tooth. Now, they are on all 4 of her front teeth and just started appearing on a bottom tooth as well. A well visit with the pediatrician assured us that it was more iron deposits even though she's not getting iron supplements in any form.

We brush her teeth at least every night and during the days too sometimes. We use a toddler (Orajel?) flouride-free, safe to swallow toothpaste. It does not remove the spots. Even though we've been told they are harmless and will eventually go away on their own, they look really bad, like her teeth are rotting.

I worry about it because it seems to be spreading and I don't want her to have a mouthful of black teeth. So.. any ideas on how to remove them? I have tried rubbing her teeth with some baking soda, which helps a bit but doesn't remove most of it. Also... she does not sit still for any of it.

My 18 mos daughter has exactly the same problem, her tooth started getting brownish stains which turned into black. I took her to the dentist, who said its iron deposits and she said she will clean them off when baby grows a little bigger, (because she wouldn't sit still). The spots are getting bigger and spreading on other teeth, mainly on bottom teeth. I am regularly brushing her teeth since she was 12 mos but it doesn't help at all. I keep trying to get solution to this problem but every doctor says different.  I've read some advices that if the plaque is not removed, the tooth will decay, although most of the doctos say its just baby teeth.

If someone can give tips how to remove the iron deposits or how to avoid them, would be very helpuf.
