Best natural ways to relieve teething pain
What methods / products have you used to relieve your baby's teething pain? I have tried homeopathy (chamomilla) but it doesn't seem to do much (it was working well on my first child though...). Teething rings seem to get boring very fast and carrot sticks are too slippery. In France babies wear amber necklaces. We've never tried but many parents swear by them. Tylenol is the next best thing I can think of but I'd rather avoid medication. Any suggestion?

We wrapped ice cubes in multiple layers of cheese cloth and tied it in a knot. Baby sucked on that. But when it got bad - especially at night - we did give her Tylenol. You could freeze carrots and wrap them in cloth, too, I suppose? We also had a product much like this: http://www99.epinions.com/prices/Sassy_Teething_Feeder or this http://www.amazon.com/Nibbler-Fruit-Vegetable-Feeder-Pink-Purple/dp/B000WMV0YG
but it was a bit of trouble fitting the ice cubes in it, and in chopping down the cube, I cut myself badly once (doh). She'd also get quite soaked after going through a couple of cubes. Later, I found that she loved to gnaw on hard rye sourdough bread (imported from abroad). Would you like either the teething feeder or a piece of the bread to try?

I probably shouldn't admit this, but quite by accident our youngest managed to self-discover the leg bone of a Rotisserie chicken. She was quite thrilled by the discovery. We were a bit disturbed at the parallels between baby and dog, but her happiness and relief from teething angst was hard to ignore ;)
