Is the gogo Kidz Travelmate a good product?

0 votes

I've always wondered what the easiest way to travel with kids, carseats, luggage, and strollers is.

I saw someone recommend this product:

Gogo Kids Travelmate.

Does anyone have specific experience with this or similar products? Would you recommend it? At ~$90, it seems pretty expensive to me, but could it be worth it?

BTW, you're welcome to borrow ours anytime.

We have it and it worked out great for a very short time when we still brought the carseat on the plane. But now that our son is bigger, and he prefers to just sit in the airplane seat itself, we just check everything at the check-in counter and bring a cheapy umbrella stroller through the airport with us.

Be aware that when it is attached to the carseat, you will probably will not be able to get the carseat through the security conveyer machine. So, be quick about removing the entire contraption, or hope that you have a nice security officer who will manually inspect the carseat and let it through.

All in all, however, I would say it is not worth it. Our m.o. now is to check both carseats and luggage at the counter. Push the 3 yo in cheap umbrella stroller (those $20 ones you can get at babiesrus) and sling the 1 yo on your back.
