How do you stop spitting before it becomes an issue?
I'm assuming that my son doesn't really know that he's doing anything naughty yet but he's started to do a lot of spitting. He's teething so he has an excess of saliva. He makes razzberries, gets his tongue in between his lips and goes "phthbutt." Sometimes, I can't help but laugh when I know I should ignore it. Any suggestions?

It's just a phase which will pass. Try not to react too much to it (strongly nor negatively) and pretty soon, the razzberries/spitting will turn into clucking and smacking and henceforth onto something else.
Hi aknitter - if he spits/makes razzberries while eating, thus spitting food, do I take the food away or just shake my head and continue to feed him? I don't want him to think that behavior is okay. Thanks!
