What is the best bike seat
What is the best bike seat? We have a 9 month old that doesn't like her helmet. What is the best bike solution?

As for helmet, have you tried one a size smaller? Or a cap underneath?

The best solution for the helmet seems to be a jumper/sweater hood under the helmet (stays on better than a hat and keeps ears from getting squished by the straps) and her getting to know that the helmet is part and parcel of the biking, which is super fun. After half a dozen helmet wearings, she's getting to be ok with it.

And as for bike seat, the iBert is great! It was a breeze to install, can relatively easily switch from bike to bike, and keeps the child between the arms of the adult. Only challenge is that on my bike getting off the bike is a bit difficult, because of the short amount of space between the child seat and the adult seat. With a little practice, that has not been an issue, though.

I bought a Bell "Co-Pilot" and am pretty disappointed with it. Installation took over two hours, and if I cared about my bike much, I wouldn't have been happy with the quality of the hardware.

I also have a Kidarooz double trailer that hooks on to the bike. Hooking and unhooking it is a little annoying, but it easily converts to a simple double-stroller, which rolls great, although is a bit big.
Riding the bike with the Kidarooz attached is a joy, and I can hardly tell any difference in the ride of the bike.

We got the smallest one we could. We are now using a jacket with a hood and it works very well! She has even stopped crying when the helmet goes on.
