Alternative to Britax Frontier

We have loved our Britax Marathon seats so when our oldest was ready for the next size we got a Frontier.  We hate it!  It is hard to install and the straps get twisted all the time.  Yuck!  Our middle son is about to outgrow his Marathon (only 3 but very tall) and needs a 5-point harness.  Suggestions on what we should get for him?

Have you looked at the Graco Nautilus?  We actually have both the Graco and Britax Frontier.  Unlike your experience, which I hear varies wildly depending on your car, we had quite an easy time installing the Frontier, and would have bought another except for the price.  So, for the second car, we got the Graco instead.

So far I've been quite happy with it.  It is very heavy and quite large, and NOT designed to be moved back and forth between cars.  Although the Frontier has arms which fold up out of the way, allowing for ease of entry into the car, I actually prefer the stationary arms of the Graco because it accomodates some storage for small toys and snacks.  Also, I like its cupholders better because they're more easily accessible than the Frontier's - whose folding mechanism seems flimsy.  I do think Frontier has better quality materials and it's easier to buckle.

A co-worker of mine highly recommended the Sunshine Kids Radian80, but we haven't seen one in person.  Supposedly they're not too high & wide, like a lot of the larger capacity seats can be, so they're more likely to fit in smaller cars, or to leave room for 3-across seats.

We ended up not getting one of these because we really liked our Britax Boulevard, and just opeted to get two identical seats so the kids could sit wherever they like.
