How can a parent get a better night's sleep?

0 votes

I was doing really well for a while.  My son goes to bed around 7:30/8.  My husband and I would then have about 2 hours for us to have dinner and some 'grown-up' time.  Even with going to bed at 10, I was rested when my son woke up at 6.

Now,, I find myself waking up in the early morning for no apparent reason and only seem to doze until my son wakes up.  I can last through the day but am spent by 9 (sometimes desiring to go to bed even earlier than that).

I'd love to know the answer to this question! Sleep deprivation has been part of my life ever since my first child was born (she's almost 3 now)... One thing that seems to help is to take a short nap during the day if you can...

    Good luck!

Have you tried cutting out caffeine?

Caffeine has pretty much been out of my diet since I was pregnant.
