Nature Baby diapers for a newborn?
I was wondering how you all liked the Nature Baby diapers for newborns. I didn't know about them until my daughter was a bit older and I loved them (except that with diarrhea they seemed to leak a bit). Do they hold up okay with the runny breastmilk poop? I'd prefer to use them over the Seventh Generation diapers because the Seventh Generation diapers still use the absorbent gels, and now that I'm expecting a little one, I wonder if I should just go with Nature Baby from the start.

When our son was born, he was pretty small (about 6 pounds). So we used premie sized pampers until he could fit into the Nature Baby diapers. And we have been using them ever since (he's now 13 mo old).
I would say our experience was pretty good, though we had numerous incidents where the runny breastmilk poop leaked all the way up our son's back. The BIG runny poops were therefore pretty gross -- we ended having to give him a bath during those times....
I think you also need to make sure the diapers are pretty snug. Our daycare person struggled with them sometimes, but I think it was mainly because she didn't put them on tightly enough.
All in all, we are paying for a composting service, and I feel good that the diapers aren't going to landfill. But it gets quite expensive, so we may re-evaluate based on cost in the future.
