How long do "terrible twos" really last?

Our daughter is almost 3 and seems to be entering a new phase of stubbornness after being very accomodating for a while... Is this the grand finale of the terrible twos or should I worry about another "terrible year" coming up ?...

Sorry to break it to you, but it seems to go terrible twos, terrible threes, fucking fours, then you hit fabulous fives.  So you have a couple more years.  I've also heard that the whole years are bad and the half years are good.  Also been our experience so far.

I agree with Kristie. The threes are worse than the twos and the fours can be bad too. Good luck!

Also the terrible twos started at 18 months for my son and daughter... I don't know when they end (at 4 my son is still struggling just as hard with impulse control, sharing, and being considerate). I'll let you know when I find out!
